The Optex VX Infinity Outdoor is a wireless outdoor motion detector with dual detection methods. It uses PIR and microwave detection methods thereby providing for the ultimate stability in detection performance and higher false alarm immunity. Digital anti masking technology help to detect when the lens is being covered by a potential intruder and has tough mod technology which increases the durability of the detector to withstand hot and humid climates. It also has digital double layering meaning that both lower and upper areas must be crossed simultaneously in order to generate an alarm. This prevents false alerts from small animals. Super multidimensional analysis helps improve immunity against noise factors such as climate changes and vegetation sways.In addition, it has 5 pre-cut masking seals which allow for optimal different detection pattern configuration, that is, between 2.5m and 12m.

The XWave2 allows for easy enrolling of device by simply adding the battery when in "learn" mode. It also enhances battery life due to the continual self-correcting capability of the system which learn the environment and adapts power output to optimise the battery life. Furthermore, xwave2 devices allow for bi-directional communication meaning they can transmit and receive messages.
