Optex Xwave2 Wireless FIT is a wireless outdoor passive infrared detector with a narrow angle detection of 5° and a maximum distance coverage of 5 metres. It uses SMDA logic technology (Super Multi Dimension Analysis) to prevent missed detections and two double-layered detection patterns to eliminate the possibility of false alarms particularly those associated with temperature changes, light reflections and small animals. This detector has active IR digital anti masking detects objects intentionally placed to cover the lens. An a trouble signal is sent notifying of potential lens tampering.

The XWave2 allows for easy enrolling of device by simply adding the battery when in "learn" mode. It also enhances battery life due to the continual self-correcting capability of the system which learn the environment and adapts power output to optimise the battery life. Furthermore, xwave2 devices allow for bi-directional communication meaning they can transmit and receive messages.
